These approximately 60 paintings are inspired by drawings made by my then 5-year-old daughter, Gloria. The minimalist design of the motifs, as well as the abandonment of any structure or order in their positioning and arrangement on the canvases, are references to the creative process of children. Together, the individual paintings form a large-scale installation that spans three walls. This installation serves as a tangible, analog starting point for the digital expansion of the work. Through digitization, the two-dimensional image is extended into a temporal dimension, thus being "brought to life," as the content is set in motion.
Lithuanian artist Ivona Aya enables this expansion of reality using innovative technology. Smartphones and/or tablets equipped with specific applications allow for a visual immersion into "Augmented Reality," where the laws of the manifest reality no longer apply.
